BOHS P405 Management of Asbestos In Buildings

The BOHS P405 (classroom & online) course provides candidates with practical knowledge and skills to effectively manage asbestos in buildings and gain a basic understanding of asbestos removal procedures.

Prior to attending this course, candidates are expected to have familiarity with The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, particularly Regulation 4, and the relevant Approved Code of Practice and guidance L143 Managing and working with asbestos.

Candidates should possess detailed knowledge of asbestos types, their associated health hazards, and control methods, including personal protection. This knowledge can be acquired by completing the BOHS P400 module.

• Understanding the legal framework and its application in asbestos management
• Recognising different survey types and their specific requirements
• Developing an action plan and effectively managing asbestos within buildings
• Identifying appropriate asbestos remediation procedures
• Understanding the air monitoring protocols necessary following asbestos remediation activities.
