Abrasive Wheels

Our Abrasive Wheels Training is designed to equip attendees who are involved in angle grinding and cutting saw tasks. This training follows the procedures outlined in the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER 98) & INDG134.

Key topics covered in this training include understanding the injuries & diseases that may occur during using angle grinders and cutting equipment, how to assess the risks, application of control measures, assessing faults with equipment.

By completing the Abrasive Wheels course, provides attendees with the necessary competence and confidence to carry out grinding and cutting tasks effectively. They will be equipped with the understanding of regulatory requirements and the ability to assess risks, apply control measures, and address equipment faults. By prioritising safety and compliance, participants contribute to a safer working environment and protect both themselves and their colleagues.

• Health Effects of abrasive wheels
• Proper wheel mounting and storage techniques
• Legislation compliance
• Implementing Control measures
• Practical skills for conducting inspections and testing methods to identify and address damage in abrasive wheels.
