Enclosure Entry & Decontamination

Our Enclosure Entry & Decontamination course is tailored for individuals who are required to carry out work within a licensed enclosure but not asbestos removal. This could be carrying out tasks such as water or electrical isolations. By successfully completing this course, candidates will gain a heightened awareness of asbestos risks and learn how to mitigate them. The enclosure entry and decontamination course covers essential topics such as the properties of asbestos, health effects, types and uses of asbestos, legislation, emergency procedures, RPE, PPE, and transit procedures for decontamination.

Please note that this course does not cover asbestos removal training. For individuals seeking training in asbestos removal, we recommend our non-licenced removal courses dedicated to that specific area.

The Subjects areas covered are:

  • Properties and history of asbestos
  • Health effects of asbestos
  • Types, uses and containing materials
  • Legislation
  • Emergency procedures
  • Respiratory protective equipment (RPE)
