Asbestos Sampling for Identification

Our Asbestos Sampling for Identification course is tailored for individuals working in, maintaining, or refurbishing buildings constructed prior to 2000 who already have the awareness of the common locations of asbestos. By successfully completing this course, candidates will gain a heightened awareness of asbestos risks and learn how to mitigate them.  The Asbestos Sampling for Identification course covers essential topics such as the properties of asbestos, safe sampling techniques, implementing control measures, and the importance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE).

Please note that this course solely focuses on sampling techniques and does not cover asbestos removal training. For individuals seeking training in asbestos removal, we recommend our non-licensed removal course dedicated to that specific area.

The Subjects areas covered are:

• Safe asbestos sampling techniques
• Appropriate sample methods for all types of asbestos
• Importance of Photos, labelling and recording of sample information
• Importance of class H vacuums, dust suppression and decontamination
• Risk Assessments of ACMs
• Managing ACMs in buildings
